Purtroppo non ci sarà nessuna versione per 3DS di Pokkèn Tourament: Katsuhiro Harada e Masaaki Hoshino hanno dichiarato: “È sicuramente una sfida portare Pokkén Tournament su Wii U con quello che abbiamo ma sarebbe una sfida ancor più grande poter replicare una tale esperienza grafica su Nintendo 3DS“. Ma il problema principale, secondo Harada, è il bisogno di un budget più elevato per gli sviluppatori.
